HOW TO REACH THE CONGRESS VENUE FROM THE AIRPORT

Kindly note that Athenaeum Intercontinental is 400m from the nearest metro station but it is easily accessible by metro, tram and buses.

By Metro
You can take the metro from the airport (Blue Line) and get off at Syntagma Station where you change and get the Red line. You get off at "Sygrou-Fix Station". Please note that at the "Sygrou –Fix" Station there are two exits. In order to get the bus connections to the "Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel" you must use the "Sygrou /Drakou" exit and then you get any bus connection (No. A2, 106, 126, 134, 135, 550) up to the "Gefyra" stop. Kindly note that while on bus there are no announcements before every stop. Please inform the driver to which stop you want to get off.
Using Metro to get to the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel involves a change to get a bus connection. All the buses will leave you just opposite the hotel on Sugrou Avenue which you must cross using a nearby underground pass.

By Tram
from Syntagma Square to Neos Kosmos stop
Please also note that using tram (can be taken from the Syntagma Square at the heart of the City Centre) is more convenient because it gets you just outside its entrance but is slower than metro and buses.

Useful tips:

While inside the train, announcements are made before every stop.

BUSES
Useful tips:
Tickets must be bought before boarding (from bus terminals and from the majority of kiosks) and validated in the designated machines (orange coloured) within the vehicles.
